July in Oregon

In Sober Living by Tree House Recovery

The Pacific Northwest is one of the most naturally gorgeous places on Earth and during July we can really start to see its bounty. Whether you’re super outdoorsy or more of an indoor person, there’s something for everyone in Portland and beyond. This is a guide for different activities this July. Let’s maximize the joy of living a sober and full life while in Oregon!

Shakespeare in the Park

If you’re a theater buff, you might want to check out Shakespeare in the Park, which is happening July 5-August 25 in parks across Portland. Immerse yourself in some classic theater while enjoying the lovely evening weather.

Lavender Daze Festival

Oregon is known for its plethora of delicate purple lavenders that are in full bloom in July. Head over to the Lavender Daze Festival, about an hour and a half south of the city. There’s music, crafts, lavender, and other plants for sale, and local food. Free entry.

Northwest String Festival

If you’re into Bluegrass and Americana tunes, keep your calendar clear from July 18-21. This is a jam-packed festival with over 48 bands. There are camping and musical workshops, too.

Flicks on the Bricks

Movies are happening at dusk in the lovely Pioneer Courthouse Square. Flicks will play every Friday night at 7 from July 26-August 23. Musical performances happen prior to the movies!

Tea Fest PDX
